And they devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and prayers.

MONTHLY DINNERS FOR 6-8

TOGETHER APPLYING THE GOSPEL IN OUR CULTURE

The original Clapham Circle was founded by William Wilberforce in England in the late 1700s. He gathered Christians together over a meal to discuss with intention how the Gospel might renew their culture.  In God’s providence, this small group of earnest believers had a remarkable impact on England in their day.

Our Clapham Circles gather for the same purpose. Across our church, we join together in groups of 6-8 adults and share monthly meals together with a mind toward discussing how the Gospel can renew our culture today. We consider a new cultural question posed by our elders each month.  As we discuss the issue, we first seek to understand the heart and mind of God through Scripture, and then we strive to apply the truths of God’s Word, stirring one another up to faith and good works.

New groups are assigned fall & spring based on when you are available and with a goal of meeting and connecting with new people.  We are a church that seeks to transcend age and other traditional barriers, so expect to share a table with people who may have some new insight! (We assign groups churchwide every fall & spring, but if you would like to join a group mid-season, please click “JOIN A GROUP” above, and we will find a group for you as soon as we can. Hope you can join us!)
